Darwin was developed as an in-house tool based on our own requirement for good-quality data that we couldn't find elsewhere. Particularly when searching for specific client side contacts to target with new business approaches, most sources we had were too general. Similarly, we wanted to make our approaches distinct and specific to the prospect.

Therefore we ensured that the key elements of Darwin - a database featuring the contact details for the key decision makers in the sector - are all up to date, validated and relevant. We then allied that information to an industry-leading news and aggregation service.

This collates news stories and sector-specific articles offering business insights that prepare sales staff so they can speak with authority and a keen understanding of the client's current and future requirements before they even pick up the phone.

Our insight articles are gleaned not only from the trade press, but from our own exclusive conversations we have with our contacts where we ask to decision makers to signpost their future marketing activities. After launching Darwin in early 2010, I have seen first-hand how it has helped users make their new business approaches relevant and insightful, whilst helping to weave in their own agency proposition.

We offer users the numbers and email addresses of thousands of key decision-maker contacts at over 5,000 companies, so you know who to call in an instant. But it's not just contacts we offer, but also context, through our constantly updated stream of industry-specific news to help you frame your pitch correctly.

We have a team of researchers and validators monitoring hundreds of news sources for industry news, but we don't leave it there. The Darwin team create their own exclusive conversations and nurture contacts to give you insights you won't find anywhere else - and we do this every day.

Darwin's news feed is not an automated service - all the stories we include are verified by a team of experienced new business professionals with deep and broad insight into the whole new business process.
